We have it here at the PWI the best Good ole Boys & gals club right here, For the high price of FREE. Maybe we should block all PWNA members from this board, That would piss off alot of people. Maybe they will feel like an outsider.

Ron was this post started to have a serious discussion about the @#$!? EA has access to this area will we be chastised for our comments?

I was wondering if they were respecting anyone when the shut down the board, to non members, They even have a suit only board.

I really like the idea of this forum.

Let me make a simple post about PWNA.

The idea about not posting was to have communications regarding the PWNA come from a central location, headquaters. I believe that for a reputable association this is a good practice so as not to send any mixed messages. For anyone who wants to call me I will answer all the questions I can. I have had posts and e-mails edited or partially copied and taken out of context, many of us have. I have never shyed away from a question and will be direct. I hope Ron will back me up on what I am posting. Over the years Ron and I have become friends despite not always agreeing on how to get from one point to another but that has not stopped us from picking up the phone and having great conversations. I do not think that I have ever backed away from any of Ron's questions and often have learned another perspective after talking with Ron. I enjoy talking to other people in the industry about everything from business to hunting, to Clean Water Act to NASCAR, to wood restoration to baseball, whatever. Even if want to chew me out or bitch I have broad shoulders.

Post whatever you feel I appreciate and respect the perceptions of others. In business it is wise to always manage perceptions so I look at this as a way to do so.
 
I think this way...If the PWNA police are here there is no way people are going to be able to express their true feelings about this or other orgs.....I am not saying that I have bad things to say but I know for a fact I will be stifled real quick if I express a differing opinion in regards to Orgs....Just my Dos Chavitos

amongst friends....no public viewing....open to share opinions without fear of censorship or repercussion......BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT LINK TO THE ARTICLE EVERETT WROTE ABOUT HIS NEGATIVE FEELINGS ABOUT BBS'S??? It was on here one day....then whooosh......gone.

I didn't necessarily agree with everything EA said, nor did I agree with all of the criticism. But EA said it, and if "we" (pwi/board members,etc) choose to hold him accountable for his opinions, I find that to be fair. I certainly hope he didn't talk someone into deleting the thread. That would be a horribly un-PWI thing to do. But I'll happily stand corrected!
 
Jon, I hear what your saying and I also remember the post. I think you are right it has been deleted!

I often wonder what the intent, or motives of people when things change, Or a renewed interest for some thing that is dead.

Take this board, Dead one day, back to life the next.

When this post started, Ron has not mentioned once about his true feeling about the pwna. Instead we get a comment about bleach.

Everetts answer about central location of info coming from headquarters, Please we all have brains lets use them and come up with our own conclusions about whats central and bs.

First, nothing here ever gets deleted.

Second, no one is going to take un-professional shots at Expert or regular members that try to help out PWI and the industry.

Third, I feel we started the expert forums due to the fact of EA column.

Fourth, the thread was started by a fictitious character. PWI is the BBS that’s real.

We all know that people are made up on others bbs to sensationalize the threads. It’s flat obvious unless your just plain stupid.

Other bbs hide IP’s??????????? I wonder why….DA

Do I think its someone imparticular directly? No… do I think they know it happens? Yes


We need to maintain our strict policy about identity. I will not jeopardize the integrity of PWI as being the only BBS that hold this standard.


I moved the thread to the moderated area, When Grant reads the thread he will either move the thread back or leave it down.


Further, I really don’t think EA is what some are trying to claim. I as the founder of this BBS agree with many of the statements. Does that mean we are shutting PWI down? No

We are trying to set PWI apart from others. If you notice PWNA became a technical board not a BBS. What happens on that site is not the same as others. However it doesn’t mean I agree with the closing.

We choose to use PWI or TGS or PWNA. It’s a choice and people are trying to make information be correct.

We all see it, knuckle heads giving bad information. Some think it’s on purpose. Maybe some is, I truly believe we have many idiots in this business.

I would have never chosen this as my profession. I didn’t lie in bed when I was 10 saying someday I will be a pressure cleaner. Lets face it we do not have many rocket scientist beating there way down to grab a wand and clean a nasty vent or garbage dumpster.

This business is getting better and it’s starting to separate the idiots from the good guys.
