Beth,
I just saw on Delco's old bb an interesting point about Video taping the seminars to sell to the public. It was brought up by a guy named Randy Alkins who was answering your post about "How did your business do this year?"
I know it might be unethical to do that for obvious reasons but do you have plans on maybe doing a video tape one day on Marketing that would be aimed towards us powerwashers?? If so I would be interested.
Another Idea here would be to get authorization through the PWNA board members to let them allow your seminar to be video taped for sale where all profits would be split between you and the PWNA.
The PWNA could actually video tape all there seminars that could be for sale. I guess the draw back here would be possibly less people would attend the seminars knowing that they could just buy the tapes. The solution to this would be to make the tapes cost enough for the buyers where the PWNA would not lose money in the end and hopefully make a few $$$$
If this is ever done and anyone who would still want to be Wood Certified, Hood Cleaner Certified etc. they would still have to go to the seminar. Unlike Wolmans who gives you a home course to get yourself certified which to me is not the real deal.
Last but not least the best thing to do would be just to attend the PWNA Convention which I had planned to last year via booking flights and hotel reservations and then of course 9/11 putting a squash on that. This year I have a scheduling conflict with the convention so I will have to wait untill next year.
