I don't know how Amy American can say the economy is good with a a 20 trillion dollar debt. That would be like me saying everything is rosy because no one has taken my work truck yet, but I havent made a payment in months.

Invading or starting a war with Russia would not be like Afganistan or Iraq. Russia's economy is already taking a dump so what does everyone propose here being Hawkish and starting another war. Add up the cost of the last two and then question why we have such a deficit.

Sarah Palin is on top of things. She made the media look like a fool to anyone who knows history at all then she said "Paul Revere warned the British". Any child who was properly trained in history knows that is a fact. Paul Revere was captured by the British and was almost killed. He bluffed and warned them telling them they were walking into an ambush. In reality the townspeople were NOT ready for them. It was a sheer stroke of divine intervention that saved him and changed the course of history. A few men were meeting to discuss strategy at the town pub in the middle of the night. The pub owner had a policy of no loaded weapons in the pub. So the men fired off their weapons to clear them before entering. The British heard this and believed Reveres bluff and scrambled for cover before retreating allowing Revere to escape.

How does it feel to know the media would rather lie about this and call Palin stupid rather than let you know she is a woman who knows her stuff?

How does it feel to know your unwillingness to pick up a book and lean history like Palin has done results in the election of an incompetent and lying leadership?

I don't agree with Palin or most republicans on the issue of having a military presence all over the world.

But I am not arrogant enough to disparage someone like Palin who is willing to try to educate the dumbed down masses.

Our foreign policy is a failure. The foreign policy of Bush was a failure. His turning inward and allowing the Patriot act to gut our freedoms was a failure.

It is time we realize that and work towards better leadership. But that isn't going to happen if we get our news from South Park and refuse to learn about how our system works and strive to return it to the early system that made us the greatest nation on earth.

Here is some math that may blow your mind. The average daily amount of gas sold is 365 million. The average tax on a gallon of fuel is about 20 cents. That equals 73 million dollars a DAY in federal tax. Wait it gets better. The average state tax on that gallon is about 50 cents. That's 182.5 million in taxes divided to the 50 states DAILY. Now add up everyone's payroll contributions, sales taxes, inheritance taxes, death taxes and the 1,000s of other taxes. How the F are we in debt?...????

Any business owner who takes his past mistakes and successes and wakes up every morning having forgotten about them would never succeed.

We wake up every morning having no idea how we got to where we are. In this country. School would rather teach us about how bad Christopher Columbus was or how we need to save the trees.

Turn minutes of history study on the internet using exact quotes would change the whole country.

Our economy has taken a dump for years. And guess what it's not over. But we are still fighting. We are still spending. Do you think Russia can't do the same? Russia could cripple the EU by simply stop supplying the oil and natural gas. Russia has a history of being a strong country. They broke down and now have rebuilt. They have not forgot. They are a strong nation and have not been pussified like USA has. To me the people of the USA will always be the best. We do not need this piece of shit government to protect us. We the people can and will stand strong. We just need to oust our dictators(senators, congressmen, and big business) we need to be like the people of Cairo, Venezuela, Kiev and the many other countries where millions march and protest and demand a change in leadership.

Actually Russia does not have a history as a strong country. Under Czarist Russia, they were impoverished and destitute. That is what started the Bolshevik revolution and put Lenin in power. Under the Communists, they had multiple five and ten year plans that were beyond an utter failure. Remember they had lines for basic necessities.
The only reason they were able to win so many wars on their soil is they were able to freeze people out. They would engage them on their border and retreat until the enemy supply lines were two thin to sustain them, and winter would set in and they could not deal with the cold. It was just a matter of keeping the chase going long enough that the elements could be used to destroy the people that were attacking them. Gotta remember that Moscow is one of the coldest and northernmost capitol's in the world.
