pumping from a water truck??

So I have a water truck coming tomorrow and need to pump from that. I have a 24hp Honda with a tsf2021 pump. which would be the best way to get it from the tanker to my pump? will the engine and pump pull 30 feet up and over the tank outlet on top? or do I need to set up another pump from the truck to my tank?

I wouldn't try pulling water 30 feet from up and over. Most water trucks have a fire hose in the back compartment of them. Start the engine, turn the PTO on, rev the motor a bit and use that to fill your tanks with. I know that they also have a hook up for a regular garden hose on them as well. I don't think the pressure coming out of that would be very good though.

Yea , now that I think about it, it SHOULD have a pump on it somewhere.

I have hooked to the garden hose fitting before and it worked fine.
