pulley size question

Just curious to see what would happen if the big pulley was on the engine and the small pulley on the pump? Would it turn the pump the same rpm either way?

The pump would probably explode in a few min. If it lasts that long. the only way it would not matter if the pulleys are the same size or real close to the same size then it might last a while.
