Proportioning Systems for the exterior building cleaning Industry. Blend/regulator/Proportioner



These are a few Choices of proportioning / regulating & Blending of chemicals for the Softwash/pressurewash/exterior cleaning industry.

SoftWash Systems has come out with the first all in one unit in 2015. Ac Lockyer Started Softwash Systems in 2011 Sept at the National Cleaning Expo.

The proportioner was Invented by A man Named Tim Asleton who is a full time fire fighter in Tallahassee Florida who has worked part time in the wash business. This product is stated theres a Patent Pending. What the patent is actually for I have no knowledge because I cannot find the documentation.

Many folks have knocked off both of these Items, is this legal to use proportioning valves to mix chemicals? Well they have been using them for years. Wikapeidia no one has made any determination because this would be and argument for the 1800's & Possibly the 1700s

Proportioner System is compact and certainly a durable product. Its only complaint is that its difficult to service. Supplied only by the Powerwashstore.com its pricing isn't as competitive as its competition.

Mike the regulators only been out for a few months, others I have talked with its working great without any issues at all.

Time will tell the tale, the only aspect of the proportioner was the difficulty to service it in the field. Other than this the three machines are operating very similar from contractor feedback.

Hard to say how they hold up....while I have had the proportioner for a couple years, when it works it works flawlessly. We have had a few issues with air leaks, especially in the top ball valve, that has shut us down quite a few times. We bought a base for it that seems to help, and has slowed that issue way down. I'm not real keen on having to take it out of service in order to have it serviced by PWS but I guess that is what it is. We have sent it back, once, tow years in a row for maintenance and both times were told nothing was wrong and it sins need anything, but we were with out it for about 10 days both times so that kind of sucks. I doubt I will send it back anymore since there never seems to be a problem with it. If I do have future issues, and since I have been unable to find any paten or patent pending on the proportioner, I'll just make my own when and if I need it. Am also considering just making one and making it available to my students that I build rigs for.

As for the regulator, I've only had it a few months and so far no issues at all. It does what its supposed to to, regulate and mix your bleach, water, and soap and is very simple in design and serviceable by me if needed. Here is video I made on it....https://youtu.be/zOiHAlCzLUw

As far as the proportioner goes the biggest design flaw is the two manifolds that the metering valves/check valves screw into, you have three valves going into two manifolds and if all six sets of threads are not screwed into the manifolds exactly the same depth then you are going to be stressing at least one of the valves creating hairline crack resulting in air leaks, to fix this they would need a taller box and some flexible tubing in-between the valves and manifolds.
The system You, Jerry McMillan and Frank Peters are making and selling isn't going to be as accurate but it'll do the job and really once we open a fresh drum of SH it starts degrading so even with perfect metering we can never be 100% accurate.
I guess it all comes down to preference, some people like a Porsche where they have to take it to the dealer every couple months for a tune-up and some people just want to Ford pickup truck that they can fix on the side of the road.
 
Awesome, didn't know about the Regulator. Nice to know we have choice with these things.
