Pressure pro experiences

Does anyone have any experiences with pressure pro's 3000 psi at 8 gpm. Machine. I have heard they have a lot of problems with the the company. It is a 115 volt not a 12. What got my attention was that it cost the same as a landa 3500 at 4.7 gpm. Any opinions and experience. Are they reliable and will the extra gpm make that much of a difference. ALSO WILL I HAVE A PROBLEM USING MY BIG GUY SURFACE CLEANER WITH THAT MANY GPMS

Make sure to order a original equipment muffler if it's a Honda engine, they use a after aftermarket muffler that failed on my machine in three months.
My big guy surface cleaner works much better at 8 gpm than it did at 5.5 gpm.
Kory's right you will need a buffer tank.

I have never had any issues out of any Pressure Pro unit I have owned.

I have also owned Landa units. No problems there either.

My lesson after owning both...... You can buy 2 Pressure Pros for the price of a Landa.

8 gpm is better than 4.7 gpm

My muffler failed too...
Other than that, I've got one from '02 that is still doing fine. 120v.
We've shifted to assembling our own now. You can by all of the components you really like. You can also buy the frames, or weld one that really fits your rig and layout.
I always felt like the pump and unloader where the only things seeming that different between the different manufacturers. Anyone have any other big differences?
We are working to assemble a heater right now. We bought a burner, coils, and insulation as well as therm, toggle, and other such. The price has added up to a little under $1,000. We welded scraps to make a frame. Anyone know why those are so expensive?

All machines break....You have to figure that stuff in when you are bidding work. Like MK said you can buy 2 pressure pro's for the price of a landa all most. I am happy with my hydro tek.......My next machines will be 8 gal cold machines by pressure pro....

Good for you. After looking at the weld jobs some manufacturers have passed off as acceptable for a commercially sold unit that will be used day in and day out I would have to agree that a person can build a better unit than what is commercially available that fits thier needs and how they want the unit set up as well.

I have a few Pressure Pro hot boxes as well. They need to build these units for contract mobil cleaners, rubber mount them and put some hardware on them that dont fall off 2 miles down the road. These thing are built as if they will be put in a warehouse and never leave the floor?

I had to weld in support bracketts just to keep the damm things from imploding. Most people that buy these things are mounting them on trailers and they need to start building them with us in mind.

I would go the Landa route myself.

After all the issues that I had with Pressure Pro, the last time time I talked with them (2 weeks ago), they were still having issues getting the guys that build them to take the crimping of their wiring connectors seriously. Apparently, during their last inspection, the guy that does the crimping told them that he was using regular pliers because his good pair of crimps got run over by a forklift a month ago...... So all those machines that went out the door over the past month could potentially have the same issues as I did......... and what will Pressure Pro do for you? Nothing!

Funny, I had a hot box come in one time and it had all bare wires in it, no wire nuts, no butt connectors, no tape, nothing!:sorry:

His brother must work for Landa and was sharing the wire pliers. I had the wires going to the heater with all wire nuts. over time they came loose.
I havent had much problems with my heater, but my next machine will not be with them. It will also be a cold water unit.

That's a great thing to tell a customer.

There's one guy at Pressure Pro that I have dealt with thats a great guy, but he'll tell it to ya like it is....... I like that personally. He was also telling me that however and I omitted to say that he fixed the problem immediately and I am quite sure is dealing with the machines that made it to the streets.

Thanks everyone, after talking with a member of this forum today pressure pro is out. These boards are a great tool. I don't know why more people don't use them.

I'm sorry, I did leave out one major detail! That older machine of ours...it's actually our second Pres. Pro. The first one came with the fuel line running along side the muffler, and the fuel filter was right there center w/ muffler. I asked about it when it was delivered, and Pres. Pro said they had hundreds of machines out with same design and no problems. Needless to say, within 6 months, the heat softened the hose, loosened the grip on the filter, and came apart. Spilled gasoline on the muffler, and, well, we lost about a third of that trailer before the second fire extinguisher put the flames out. Pres. Pro replaced the machine very quickly (fuel line diverted away from muffler) and even helped mount it on the trailer. We replaced the planks on the trailer, tanks, and a little more equipment ourselves (didn't want to fight over it). And to make things worse, I was over seas when it happened, with 2 years left before returning. I guess that's why I forgot about it. It was the only disaster we have ever had, and I didn't have to deal with it personally.

Do a search Kenny you will find my Pressure Pro issues, not just one of my skids did this but both PP skids had major issues

+10 Do a search and you will find a lot of interesting things about that brand.

I have an 8gpm cold water unit that is doing good, I would not buy their hot water skid after talking to a lot of guys here on the bbs, other bbs's and reading what has been posted throughout the past few years.
