The STATE of North Carolina deems it acceptable for wash water to go into the ground or landscaping SO LONG AS IT DOES NOT CAUSE EROSION. Why on earth can't these silly municipalities just agree with the State. It's all about the money >:/

Yea I reminded him of this his response was "well we'd rather it go into the sewer" to which I respond " That's not what the state or CWA says" not sure he liked that. So he cruises our job site 3 more times.

I'm surprised you didn't get a ticket and had to fight it! It's obvious you know more about the regs than the enforcement! How did he know you were in compliance? He wanted you to do what the state says not to...
If it were about the environment, they would launch education campaigns (like click-it or ticket for safety belts).

Thats pretty whacked that someone has nothing better to do that 1) know all the CWA and BMPs, 2) watch you doing your job and 3) call the authorities to check it out. 20 bucks says the complainant is living on government assistance.

Red light cameras are being taken out of many N.C. Cities. Seems folks found out that the Cities got 50% of the fines and the camera company got the other 50%.
