I have a 3500psi 4.8 gpm machine.with a test guage hooked up and the proper nozzle size it reads 3500 with trigger unpulled.When I pull the trigger it reads 2000.Is this an unloader problem???

What size nozzle are you using? It is most likely too big an opening and won't have high p.s.i. You should ahve a 5.5 to get almost 3500 psi.

If the hose is pulsating you just have something stuck in a valve or a dirty filter on the inlet side of the pump.
