I dont ever use any of the words in question here the name I go by Safe Clean just below the name Exterior Cleaning Specialist I belive it lets you cover alitlle more area without making yourself part of the GENRE---Power Washers! Just my .02 worth

I've got Pressure Washing in my name, becuase that is what sounded the best for my company name and also when people look for it in the yellow pages that is where they go. Also, I've gotton most of my clients because of my name and advertising on my truck. I'm not a corporation, so I don't know the laws involved with that, but whether you have pressure, power, cleaning, washing or etc. that is still pretty generic, so I am kind of confused on how any of those would limit what you can do. To me, as a consumer, if I see someone with a name with cleaning services in it, (without pressure or power washing/cleaning in it) I would think interior type cleaning only (janatorial/maid service).

Name of company does not matter
We need an industry name. We are the only business that spreads its name over as many as six headings in the phone book. (Im in five). A name such as surface cleaner, cleaning tech or somthing. The name of a company really does not matter. In a small town everyone would know Bob's as the local plumbing company. In a large city people turn to the phone book. Their is one heading for plumber, lawyers, electricians. Their is an industry title for surface cleaners (somewhere). The reason this has not materialized is because of all the side jobs we perform. I do windows but im not a window cleaner. I do interior cleaning but I'm not a janitor. I am a surface cleaner that has added side work to my main business. If their were a name that was agreed upon we could stop supporting the phone comapany and eliminate headings like [cleaning systems, building cleaning, steam cleaning, pressure washing, power washing, deck cleaning and sealing, pressure cleaning]. All companys should be listed in one heading with their services listed. Shur would save me alot of money.
