This statement brought to mind an incident that happened a few years back here. A young lad years ago took it upon his-self to cough up a huge loogey, to be distributed to the officers waiting in the drive thru.
I imagine that the burgers wrapped tightly crisp clean, pristine corners. The 'poster child' for text book wrapped burger. .....Probably could bounce a quarter off of them!!

One day, (I hope I'm wrong) someone could show me the error of my thinking.......yet time and time again the best 'looking things'....hide a VERY UGLY CORE>

I wonder what this world would look like, if it didn't operate with deception being the core principle.

I have a friend on the City Police Dept here and when we were growing up, out of all of us kids, He was the absolute worst!!! If there was trouble to get into, he was in it. Now he joined the dept about 4 years ago and has already moved up to Detective. He made a HUGE drug bust undercover and got promoted. It was prolly some of his old contacts and they thought nothing of it.

He's crazy though...we have raced..my Titan verses Police cruiser from red light to red light..that was pretty fun, and let me tell you-----Fear the Titan!!

I have a couple other friends in law enforcment and I really do respect those guys. They're gone from their families on most holidays, make only ok money and put their life on the line at any given moment for some bonehead if duty calls. They deal with the trash that society offers and have to put up with the stupid people like the ACLU and others that are just looking to blame them for anything that goes wrong.

When I was in High School I thought I wanted to be a police officer and I was gonna join the "Explorer Program". On my interview I changed my mind. They told me about all the scum I would be dealing with and how everyday you see the worst of people and still have to keep sane. I don't think I could mentally take that stuff....I give credit to these guys for taking it and not just shooting everybody....
 
Police do have to put up with a lot. For the pay they get I would not do it, even double pay I would not do it.

My buddy's partner just got shot in the leg, He was on the way to drop off a person at jail when this happened. My buddy has death threats, now has to carry a weapon all the time. He was just over Saturday for bar-b-que and I asked you have a gun, He reaches in to pull his little gun out. That does not sound like fun, carry gun for people that are hunted. HUMMM.
