We just picked up a small fleet of Pneumatic Dry Bulk Trailers that carry Flyash from Coal Fired Powerplants, back down to a local Concrete Facility.
The yard manager suggested using the Liquid Hammer that they use to clean their Cement Mixers. The Liquid Hammer does a good job of removing the concrete, but it has absolutely no effect whatsoever on the black stains on the side of the these trailers.
On our first painted trailer, i spent several hours trying to remove the stains, and finally after testing a small spot, i discovered that after applying our SH Concrete "Mix" with a pump-up sprayer, it does a fine job of breaking down the Coal. I ended up spraying down the entire trailer with the straight mix, brushing and then rinsing. Spraying Sodium Hydroxide above my head with a sprayer was less than pleasant.
The yard manager was pretty impressed with the results. But, it takes a LONG time to get them white again.
It's a whole different animal trying to wash the Aluminum ones...
Any idea's to make it go more smoothly?
