Pictures for Phil

A nursing home in Baltimore.
We haven't actively been out looking for new work for a while, so my opportunity to get the pictures you want is limited. I'll keep looking though.

This fan is tucked under the AC unit, with rigid conduit, and is tarred to the roof.

To give you an idea of what is likely in the duct here is a pic of the hood.
Phil can you take the pictures from here or should we email them directly to you?

Complete with duct taped seams. I don't know if this picture shows up well. It blows through the wall from inside the hood.

This fan is moved off the duct, but only by disconecting the conduit at the joint. This method would have cost us about $500.00 because the wire broke. I told them to make sure it was repaired so that the fan could be removed but the electrician returned it to the same condition it was, so I refused to pay for the repair. We also lost the account, but sometimes you have to make a stand.

A 90 with no access. I don't have a picture of the outside of the duct, you can't get in the cieling here. I think you can tell, at least we can because we know what we are looking at.

Hospital cafeteria, this duct has a metal I beam running through it, and is sealed with caulking.

Another fan glued to the roof, this wasn't always this way, they had the roof redone and the roofers did this. A good reason for awareness, how many time have you run into a repair job that prevents you from doing something simply because the guy doing the repair had no clue. A fan is a fan is a fan, NOT!!

Okay Bryan, now I'm gonna have to start digging for some of my pictures...

You've got some good ones!

Thanx Bryan, now maybe we'll get the ball rolling.

Also - I intend to use these pictures in power point, video and printed publications.
Primarily they are to convince the AHJ that sometimes exhaust systems are not the icon of perfection. And if they are looking for "why the system wasn't cleaned right?" They could start here.
Some of these pictures might end up in a manual or something that I sell.
I'll credit people - but may goof up and forget from time to time. I hope that is okay with everyone.

photos for Phil

Here is a fan with the motor and electrical plug and wires located inside the duct housing on the roof.

I'll send more as I find them.
