Pavers sidewalks over 1 mln sq ft

Dimiter try pouring water on the pavers, if the water soaks they are not sealed or the sealer has failed. If the water beads on the pavers (like water on a waxed car roof) they are sealed. Hope this helps.

This is exactly how I decided that they are sealed. I did the test with a cup of water and the water gathered in drops and did not soaked into the bricks. I have done a few other pavers that were not sealed and they soaked the water immediately. Also not sealed pavers look a lot brighter. Another factor was that there was no moss or weed growing between the pavers.
Next Tuesday I am doing a condo complex entrance around 10000 sq ft, pavers again. I can tell that they are not sealed just by the weed and moss growing all over the place. I have added there a disclaimer in the proposal and a price for re-sanding optionally. I think I posted some pics of it some time ago, will try to find and re-post them.

I am glad were not a paver happy state. I hate cleaning pavers and second the full face shield and rain suit idea as well

Nice meeting with you in orlando.

We cover close to 25 States on larger scale projects. $20,000 in less than 7 day project, neting $12,000 or more.
oh, yeah- but a lot of positive factors have to come into play picking up work down or back or both.

Or work then vacation after the job?
Its all got to fall just right with timing.

The last time this bid was out, was to be clean the pavers, gum to be removed, bricks to be fixed, sanded to fill in, and then sealed.

So the company that did the work for $20,000 had to take short cuts. You can not do all the above to service 1 million sq ft. just the washing alone would have been that cost.
So maybe now the City Of Homestead now realizes they got limited services from that last contractor for a cheap bid they accepted.

Perfect example of the lower bids are not the most economical bids.

This is Homestead for sure

This is for Homestead Florida, in the Krome avenue area.
Its not a 1million square feet. But it is ........

156,716 sq ft at .04cents = $6,268.64
and
3,894 sq ft at .04cents = $155.76
South Florida Maintenance (SFM) got the work.

USA Cleaning did not get the work.
156,716 sq ft = $10,970.12
3,894 sq ft = $1,099.50

Only two companies bid the job!
$6,424.40 not to bad of a payday for 160,000 sq ft.
