I've been dealing with worthless hacks in KEC for a while now, and to be honest I'm very close to blowing my top.

But I said going into this year "I'll be nice"......this year is coming to an end.

I'm going to :yeah: this market if they don't dummy up.
 
$50 house washes are a dime a dozen...I posted an ad from a hackwasher last week....same price.

Guys like this will not last, they will go back working for the city or whatever goverment job they had. At the end of the day it is annoying to know that these people are clueless to the market but it shouldnt really impact your business.
 
Here is my $50.00 House Wash. And only if I'm in the area...And with purchase of Roof Cleaning!

Lot of hatred to part timers. I have 7 cold water machines and I started out part time. Guess that makes me ready to be underbid and bought out also. Please make checks payable to William Page. Never seen so much jealousy from grown men. One thread on here about people to lazy to get out and work. Another thread about people hustling, trying to make a dollar pressure washing and being slammed for being part timers.

I agree with you. You can't hate on any man for trying to make money. My statement might have came off wrong. I don't mind anyone in the industry. The more people who are selling pressure washing the more people are educated about the industry and need the service. I am happy to see part timers and all other companies. But if they do bad work with a cold or hot water unit they will end up losing their accounts. That's business.

And I also agree about cold water. I use cold water for at least half of my work. Just not on concrete. Cold water is just not enough.
 
Good point William. We have a couple cold water units and we don't use heat on every job either. I don't think the overwhelming majority have animosity against competition...hell that is what capitalism thrives on. The piece of this that folks (including myself) get irate about is the seemingly deliberate killing of the market that many of us have tried to cultivate with knowledge and professionalism.
 
I don't think it is all part timers. I am a part timer and have been for 8 years, I started out with a little cold water unit and worked until I could buy a big and better unit, and now have 2 rigs. Being a part timer doesn't make me a hack, I pay taxes and ins, LLC dues, org dues, I am not the cheapest washer in town and not the most expensive either, I found what worked for me and went with it. Maybe you should not be getting mad at the new guys everyone has to start somewhere, but look at yourself and see why you lost the account. I'm in the same boat as William, after I retire from the fire dept then I will be full time.
