I don't mind giving away knowledge, but, on the other hand, I don't like losing income because of it.

For instance, during one of the the classes in Vegas Chris and I completed a rooftop in about 35 minutes just letting everyone watch. Before and after that we stood around talking about it and ended up more than doubling our time there.

Whenever we let someone help and had to demonstrate things our time was tripled or quadrupled.

Do the math, if our schedule calls for $200.00/hr and showing someone else brings that down to $50.00/hr, looks to me like a break even point to train someone else is $150.00/hr. That amount equals training for FREE. Anything over $150/hr is THE FEE for training - Anything under that is taking a LOSS to train someone else.

Does that make sense?
 
I have a special course for working in the hood, that course is $4000.00 a week!!
 
I guess I was pretty lucky to find someone to teach me softwashing and roof cleaning and some flat work for free. I guess how he saw it was its better to show someone the right way than the hack way. helps industry......

They didnt do it for free Lou, it actually cost them money.

Also alot of guys that say labor for learning want you to buy from a dist they get kick backs from. Not saying this was your case, alot do...
