Oxidation

House wash mix applied VERY gently but sometimes its just better to repaint a badly oxidized aluminum door especially if its a custom color that matches the house color as in not white The customer will appreciate the honesty and professionalism if you are ready with a referral to a good painter.Tell them you'll do your best and it will be clean but still oxidized.Others may have a better way. Can't help with stucco dont have that too much here.

I stopped and took a look yesterday.
I've got a solution for the painted aluminum garage door.

I could use some advice on the smooth textured stucco home. This is a very large custom home. As you can see in the pic's the home owner tried to power wash the oxidation off.
Home owner would like a test spot done before he hires me. Which would be good for both of us.

She wants to paint. He wants to restore. How would a painter prep and remove the ox to get a bond?

He might want to restore....but that ain't happening now. Most painters I've seen would prime right over the ox and then paint.

After seeing the homeowner's handy work, I'd get in the truck and drive away....easier money to be made elsewhere.

Guy, I was leaning that way when I was there at the house.
I would still like to know what if anything can be done.

Tsp, f-13, 2 step, and brush.......pick one and add the brush. It can be done but can also run you on a snag if you're not careful. We've done a few but they were high profit jobs, I walk away from the majority of these jobs. If you take one on get a waiver signed for anything and everything or you'll be paying for a paint job.........just saying.
