I rediscovered that asphalt does indeed have a liquid state, and it's pretty awesome to wear oven mitts while driving. I saw 117* on a bank sign in the north valley this afternoon ...

One time I discovered that liquid state when I came out to find my bike lying on the ground with the kickstand buried 4 inches in the asphalt. Carried a wood block with me after that.
