Yes, I was working outside in a metal building that day, sorting bolts. We had a one month old, and had just planted trees in the back yard. The one month old is 23 now, and we moved a couple of blocks over. Life was good then, and is even better now.

I grew up in the Southern humidity, moved to AZ when I was 20. Both are brutal. But bone dry 110 is HOT. When you are watching the 10 o'clock news and it is 103, it is hot. I thought it was crazy how the pool was not even refreshing July-August - more like a warm bath. There was a guy in our office complex that did pretty well delivering ice to cool off pools for pool parties in the summer.
