We would like to introduce everyone to our new style of pressure washer hose.
It is called our Maxi Lite 1 Thermoplastic hose for pressure washing.
This hose is a smooth polyurethane cover thermoplastic hose with fibre braid.
It is rated 3500psi for ¼ inch size, 3300psi for 5/16 inch size and 3/8 inch size 3000psi
We are not sure of the temperature rating at this time.
Why we carry this hose.
About a year ago we approached the local fleet washing companies to sell them our steel braided 4000psi pressure washer hose. About 5 or 6 of the largest fleetwashers were all using the similar hose. It was this thermoplastic pressure washer hose. We offered them our 4000psi hose at about ½ the price of what they were currently paying and not one of the fleet washing companies would switch over to us with our steel steel braided 4000psi hose. The reason they would not change was the weight of regular steel braided pressure was just so much greater than the thermoplastic hose they were currently using.
As a result of this fact we needed to get this hose. Now we have it and we want to introduce the hose to everyone.
Is the hose good for cold water washing and with chemicals?
We sold a hose to a customer that is doing high volume fleet washing with cold water and chemicals and the hose is still going strong after one month.
Is the hose good for hot water washing?
We have sold hoses to dealers that have in turn sold the hoses to their customers that are doing hot water pressure washing. We have not heard back from them with results yet. We should hear back from them in a few weeks.
Is the hose good for water jetting?
Yes our ¼ inch hose is great for water jetting application.
Do any manufacturers of pressure washers sell this hose with new units?
Yes one manufacturer that we know of does this.
Does the hose kink?
Our customer that does high volume cold water pressure washing has told us the hose does not kink.
Why would a mobile wash company use this hose?
The main reason is the lower weight which translates into higher production of washing.
The weight figures are:
Without water a 150ft hose weighs:
our maxi lite 1 5/16 inch hose weighs 12lbs
4000psi hose weighs 31 lbs
5800psi hose weighs 45 lbs
With water a 150ft hose weighs:
our maxi lite 1 5/16 inch hose weighs 17lbs
4000psi hose weighs 39 lbs
5800psi hose weighs 52 lbs
Also, customers have told us a truck can run this hose over without any damage to the hose unlike a steel braided hose that gets ruined if a truck runs it over.
Our recommendations:
If you are using a 5.5 gpm pressure washer of lower and use 150ft of hose or less you can use our 5/16 hose
If you are doing water jetting you can use our ¼ hose.
We also carry this hose in 3/8 size if you need this hose in this size. We can discuss your application and supply it to you but we usually recommend the 5/16 inch hose.
