Hey everyone, I recently ran into a bit of a headache while trying to scan passports for a small travel project I’m working on. I was out in a bright café, and the light kept reflecting off the passport covers, making my scans almost unreadable. I even tried holding them at weird angles, but the OCR kept failing to capture the MRZ lines correctly. Has anyone else had this problem? I’m curious if there are practical tricks or tools that handle MRZ scanning reliably even in tricky lighting or with slightly worn passports.
