1.5 Gals per min and 60-100 psi looking to spray 15-25 spray angle.
using it to apply chems with flow pump. PS if anyone can explain a easy way to do the math feel free to let me know.
Thanks, Mikey

Hello Mikey,

The Nozzle Flow Rate chart that is is Delco's Wats Blaster shows that a 1.4 gpm flow at 100 psi you need to use a #9 tip. You would order a 1509 or a 2509 nozzle to get the flow and spray fan you are looking for.

I don't know an easy way to do the math, I always use the chart that Delco has on page 10. I have made copies of it and put them on our trucks.

If you don't receive the Delco publication, let me know your fax number and I can fax you a copy of the chart.

Here is the math..works great for odd pressures & flow rates that are not on nozzle charts:

GPM x SQUAREROOT (4000/PSI)

Simply take 4000 divided by "your" PSI. Next Find the square root of the answer and multiply it by "your" GPM.

1) 4000/100PSI = 40

2) SQRT 40 = 6.324

3) (GPM 1.5) x 6.324 = (9.486 Nozzle)

Since nozzles are normally sold in size increments of .5 you will have to round up or down to the nearest size nozzle. Nozzle size 9.5 should work for 100PSI @ 1.5GPM

Hope this helps
