New trailer & 2nd Unit

Here are the first photos of the new 16' tandem axle trailer plus we added another skid unit (our landa is behind the new hotsy). Nate is excited to have the 16' trailer, our old one was only 12' and it was a bit cramped, plus now we can haul a full tank of water. The trailer was a great deal, its brand new actually out of Dallas, Tx -> the only odd thing about the trailer is it has 2 different rims on it??? Oh well. :D

Sorry for the bad photo - I was shooting from upstairs in the house...

We sold it to Andrew Jordan owner of Jordan Pressure Washers on Federal for $900.00 it is going to be his new rental rig. I sold it cheap to get it gone fast. Now we are in the same boat as you, this new trailer is 20' long tounge to tail and it is about 2" too long for our garage. Its been sitting on our driveway, we are scouting storage possibilities. We have grill covers over the machines so that someone driving by wouldnt notice right away what they are. They are still building houses over here which makes this prime area for theft. It has a tounge lock and bike locks through the wheels, but anyone who was desperate could probably make do.

We just moved out of 'U Store It' we were paying $170.00 a month for a 10x30 indoor storage. The doors on the storage were larger then single car garages so it fit the trailers width.

21407 014 (Medium).jpgI pay $136.00 for my unit at united mini storage. It's a 10 x 20. Been there for almost 5 years. They have key code entry, Barbed wire fencing, And security cameras all over. I had them aim one of the camera's right on my unit for added security. I sleep better at night knowing my stuff is safe!:)

Matt - we had a 30 x 50 private warehouse and paid $500 for it per month. It has a 14' x 20' roll up door and it was heated, we also had electricity and phone hookup there. It was just too far north to drive everyday to pick up the trailer.

Nicole try Sable Self Storage on E. 4th and N.Sable across from the DMV (right by 6th and 225).

They have a few units there that have 10 foot wide doors.

We started with a 5x7 trailer, and had a 8x15 storage. Then we upgraded to a 6x12 trailer, and we figured, "hey we'll just get a longer storage and be good to go. So we switched over our paperwork, paid the excess and tried to put it in the next day, and the trailer is 8' 2", wile the door is only 8' wide. So we got a parking space near the RV park there. And they have cameras. Its been there about 3 months, with no problems yet.

Just a suggestion, I had units there for years and never heard of anyone having problems.

Thats a sweet rig.... Ever thought about steel buildings, and build your own shop to park that beast in? I bet you could get one built for under 4k. I say that because I almost bought one. When I called to order one, the guy told me of 3-4 different buildings they had built, and the customers already paid the deposit and backed out of the order, so they were moving then cheap! Just an idea!

I was the executive assistant to the CEO of a steel bldg company here in Denver. I know that steel bldgs are a good investment, but land here is absolutely ridiculous! I could not afford to purchase the land anywhere near town, I would have to drive 30 miles out to even hit decent priced land....
