2. 250 gal. tote
3. 13hp 400psi 3.5 gal min. cold water pressure washer
4. Fat Boy 12v pump set up
5. 2 Summit hose reels
6. 400' of 3/4" supply hose
7. 200' of 3/4" wash hose for Fat Boy
8. 400' of 3/8" high pressure hose
9. 20 surface cleaner
10. 26 gal bypass tank
11. 4 15 gal tanks for Chems

I will upgrade items as $$$ come in.

Welcome to PWI Chris. For your safety please keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. :)

Chris,
I am new here too, been reading since oct/nov 08 and started cleaning roofs in March. I have 31 under my belt already and attribute that alot to this board and my inner drive to succeed. I too, use the "low pressure" method of cleaning roofs. I have been in the construction trade for 30 yrs. and know if I'm damaging shingles, and I am not. I have turned down 2 jobs because I felt the shingles were not sound enough even to walk on.
I have 2 machines you speak of and I have never used over 100' of high pressure hose on one machine at a time. Same with supply hose, 75' seems to get me to the washer. You may be able to save $ in the hose area. And I'm not sure about the 3/4" chemical hose, I thought I've heard these guys say that smaller is better for distance. I use 5/8 to apply my "Glow Juice". I'm certainly no expert, so maybe someone will chime in.

Welcome to the show. Always watch out for that Larry guy, and be careful of where he tells you where to put your hands.

Thanks Andy, Larry, Lester, and Johnathan.
I was told I had to watch out for that Larry fella :p LoL...
Hey Lester, thanks for the info, and congrats on a great start
in the business. I already have the 400' of 3/4" hose I bought
for a job several months ago. I had a 500' x 600' flat roof
300,000 sqr ft to wash down. They would not let me use a
pressure washer on it as they were afraid of damage on the canvas
type roof. There was only one water spigot in the middle of the roof
all the way to one side.:eek: a lot of work but well worth it. The 3/4"
chem hose for the LOVE is my preference. yes it is heavier, but I
get a lot more LOVE on the roof faster, and it does not work the Fat
Boy as hard. The bigger the hose the less amps you will draw from the battery,
and the less wear and heat on the pump. It gets the roofs done faster, gets me longer running time on the battery, and the pump will last longer. This is
my opinion, and is shared by many others, but is a debate that will go on forever with many. as far as the distance goes, just use a smaller nozzle size, it will slow down the flow rate some, but it should not be a problem. I can easily get 30'
out of the Fat Boy with 3/4" hose. Thanks and good luck with the business, and look forward to talking in the future.

Chris
