The employees of a Westside fast-food restaurant were unaware that their building was on fire until fire trucks rolled up Monday morning.
Firefighters say that someone driving by the restaurant at Irving and Coors spotted smoke coming from the roof of the Burger King and called 911.
Firefighters believe the fire originated in the ventilation system above the kitchen and was confined there.
Firefighters managed to quickly put out the fire. Nobody was injured. An estimate of the amount of damage to the building was not available at midday Monday.
