new to this also

I joined this web site hoping to get some answers on a few questions. I am currently contemplating setting up a business in south west florida. can anyone give me some information on a good school? I am a hard worker and would be starting this as a new career. I just dont know where to start. I have seen one company (mr fire safety) who wants $9,000 to join and that would only get me a territory. I feel if I could find a good legimate school that would get me qualified and certified I could have unlilmited territory. Any input good or bad would be appreciated. thanks.
