Hi all,

My name is Mike and I work for Faxon Engineering, a fluid power distributor (fancy way of saying "we make hose assemblies and sell fittings") in Connecticut and we've been looking to expand our business to include power washer accessories (wands, disconnects, etc etc.).

My reason for joining this forum was basically get to know more about this aspect of the industry. We do a little with local power washing companies who may need a hose repaired or remade but nothing else.

So basically we're looking to competitively distribute power washing accessories and wondering if there are any manufacturers the professionals seem to prefer.

This is strictly a fact finding mission for me and I promise not to shill or spam my company to you guys. :D

Thanks.

Welcome Mike.

There are a lot of things you could make or invent to make our jobs easier.

Do you make other things than hose assemblies and fittings?

What are your company's capabilities? Can you do 3-D prototypes?

Can you compete with China for production and price???? just kidding there. hahahahaha

Here are a few ideas you could look into:

A downstream injector that pulls better than 4:1 for 5.5gpm or higher.

Injection manifolds that will resist acid, caustics and bleach.

12 volt solenoid valves that will resist acid, caustics and bleach.

Just things that would make our lives easier.

I would do as Russ says. LOL...Welcome Mike. For your safety Please keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. :)

It is a booming industry, does your son powerwash? your name sounds famialiar...

@Christopher - We're not really a manufacturer of anything. When I say we make hose assemblies, I kind of meant we get hose and fittings in from our vendor(s) and crimp on the ends. We're trying to expand our business by offering (mostly basic) things that you power wash guys would need...so...impulse items in a way :) but I have no idea really where to start.
