This is a home we are looking at, I have been wanting to move back to the country for a while, this one is 3950 square feet with an 850 sq ft garage, sitting on 11 acres, its a bank forclosure I can pick up for 169,900

What do you think? Its a freaking steal!

we are going tomorrow to work out the details, the home we are in now is 3600 square feet and on 1 acre on a corner lot in town, its nice but I HATE living here!

Ron Musgraves, Bob Williamson and a few friends that are in the business have been here to this house but NOTHING beats the country when that is all you have ever known.

A house like that up here would sell for $400-$500 minimum. That looks like a hell of a deal.

That's the ONLY thing good about a economy like this. I have a friend that bought a decent 3/2 ranch in Ft. Myers 20 minutes from the beach for $55K last week. It sold for $300k 5 years ago.

I hear you on the country living. My kids were raised on the middle of 80 acres with the nearest neighbor 1/4 away. I now have an empty nester ranch in a subdivision on a 1+ acre lot and have never adjusted to having neighbors close. I'm used to pissing off the side of a tractor and shooting at coyotes with a pistol. My wife is a city girl so she doesn't get it. I miss it.

I made the same mistake as russ, bought a home in a fancy area. The neighborhood lets say didnt like my trucks, trailer or equipment. LOL

I hope you get the home, you will be happier. Rent that one you got for double the mortgage.
