How many hours on a new engine before switching to synthetic?

I just switched with 55 hours. Not sure what's recommended.

I switched at 5 hours. There has been some controversy though about using Synthetic oil in smaller engines though like we use.

I'd wait until about 100 hours to be sure everything in the engine seats as it should.
