Need input please?!?!?!?

something to think about too, in your pics you can see exactly where you slowed down or stopped with the surface cleaner. try to keep a solid pace try not to stop and back up as much, and dont engage the gun when you have stopped moving. everytime you stop, you are leaving the "donuts". i use the steel eagle surface cleaner and will lift the front up, engage the gun, and start moving. then lower the front end so it blends in better and you don't see the "donuts"

ok thanks

I just bought another rig and it came with the same surface cleaner. It's a 20 in. Change that bar and get rid of the leak. Not to bust your chops but how long does it take you to do a driveway? Ya gotta move faster than that or you will be making about $1.25 per hr. I use 4000psi @ 4 gpm and it only takes me 25 min to do a 20x30 with sidewalks and front entrance walkway. You gotta use the right chems or you will continue to be there forever doing 1 job. I also noticed the date is from 1-2003 on your camera. Is that when the pic was taken or is the date just wrong in the camera? Ya may want to set that to the correct date also for customer viewing. I'm not intentionally trying to bust on you. Please don't take it the wrong way. :)

the job was 2hrs total setup and teardown that and dealing with my frustration with the stripes...

the donuts are from when i stopped without the gun on it still sprays a little when i have it released.

yes its the same rig. 4000psi and 4gpm have a 200 gallon tank.

the date is wrong i didnt even notice that will figure out how to set it this week. it is from wensday 11-26-2008

never eazy to give constructive criticsom and i will allways try to take it the way it is intended. feel free to critique its never to late to learn something new.

we have a 5gpm at 3500 pushing a big guy 28" i think. On real dirty driveways we sometimes get into that lapping being cleaner than the rest. I go one way then clean sideways making a + patern that cleans it better. or go the same way but offset your lines to be cleaning the less bright areas.
I love those aluminum spin bars I get from Bob for my big guy.

How do i go about increasing the GPM?
the equipment i have is attached.

Unfortunately, you can not increase your gpms while maintaining your PSI, your washer is just not the right size for cement cleaning and is limited in the performance area for concrete cleaning.

You may need a bigger pressure washer if you are planing on cleaning allot of cement. Sorry.:(

ok question 2.

can i change the pump without having to replace the engine? the pump i have is a black pump. not sure if that means nething or not.. if so what pump should i get for cement cleaning and about how much is it?

you have a General Pump by the way. Good pumps !

I know that it is easier to do it with a belt drive pump, you have a direct drive which means basically that your pump is turning at the same rpm as the motor and to swap it is easier with a belt drive because you only have to change the pully size. Doing that will lower your pressure and raise the gallons per minuite.

You may be able to convert your but I am not sure that it would be cost effective.

After all that fooling around with converting the existing machine's pump, it still may not be enough. Just get a hot water unit with more gpm. You've got everything else already. I've seen some really good deals lately.
