As of now, I am sure that everyone is preparing to contact there accounts for the up coming season.
Myself, I am just begining a leap of faith into the pressure washing world.
Untill I am able to gain same operating capitol, my advertising needs to be refined and at a minimum expense.
Do any of you have special keywords or words of wonder that I should include on my flyers to attract customers.
Here is what I have thought of so far:

1. coupons and discounts for refferals that I recieve

2. fonts and paper colors

3. timing

What else...
My Business name is Cabin Contractors... specializing in dock decks, and log homes.

MS Publisher is a great program. It's also inexpensive.

Beth,

Currently I use Publisher, but I was wondering what the next step up would be? I think this year I'd like to learn a higher end program.

I was speaking to the folks at www.twigonestop.com and they can't use Publisher files. I forget which programs they do use, but was wondering if you had any suggestions.

I'm thinking about stepping up too. Aldus Pagemaker would be the program. Or Quark Express, but I don't know if they are Mac only or not... Pagemaker is available for both PC and Mac, but the price tag is hefty. But that's your top end software....

There is a new print place online giving twigonestop a real run for their money. I got a glossy card from them, and they'll have my business.

www.colormation.com

You can FTP files up to them, no more shipping things, and the cost is less!!!!!!!

5,000 post cards is $195.00 from them, 4 color 100 lb glossy both sides. Twig is a hundred bucks higher. Buy now, I bet they will raise their prices early spring.

Hi Steve,
I have not seen his work, but Twigonestop and Colormation are 4 color glossy stock, on both sides. Twig's price per 5,000 was $295.00 and Colormations was 195.00 per 5,000 which is less per card than his.... and I would have to see the quality. (I have samples of both of Twig and Colormation)

The reason Twig and Colormation are so inexpensive is the equipment they use and the fact that they are doing so much business that they use what are called gang runs and print in bulk.

Also Twig and Colormation also produce glossy business cards, tri folds, brochures, pamphlets, etc....

I would like to see a sample of a card of his, so I could say we are comparing apples to apples, but I don't know that. Some cards are glossy on one side but not the other, some are 4 color but not glossy, etc. So many choices...

Thanks Steve, for your confidence. I guess I just try to do my shopping. it took me a while to find a source for 4 color magnets at a good price too, but I looked until I found one. www.fridgedoor.com . They changed their web site - too cumbersome for me now. But if you call them they can create whatever you want.

Next..... Full 4 color photo quality truck magnets! :) I can't wait for spring!
