Need Help With a Quote

All,

This is the cold and dry storage area of a local fast food chain that has about 30 retail locally. they called and asked me to give an estimate on their warehouse floor. They asked that I surface clean all of it which is about 2310 sq ft which I will be need to push a fair amount of water around out the bay doors and vacuum it up as I did not notice any drains. due to that I am thinking about .25 per sq ft which works out to $577.50

The next part of the question was if I could epoxy the heavier foot traffic area below because it is in much worse condition. My thoughts on this we that I would need to clean and even possibly strip the whole area and let it dry for a day and then bring in the equipment to epoxy the floor which is about 720 sg ft. This is my issue as I am not sure what to charge for this service as I do not do it often and the few times I have done it was just a friends garage here and there. They also said that they would want to do this every 6 months.

I really would like to shine here as I inquired about the retail locations and it seems I need to leave an impression here for that. Thanks in advance for the help.

Mike,

This is going to be a tedious job to say the least. I am going to clean a line with the surface cleaner while I have someone cleaning up behind me and then repeat. The pallets will not be moved they are staying in place. I understand some water may make its way underneath and I expressed my concern however the owner does not have the capability to move the whole warehouse around and just asked I clean the foot traffic area. there are multiple bay doors that can be opened so basically my trailer will be on the other side of the walls. They will provide water. I know the price seems low and I am battling with it but I honestly think this job without the epoxy will take me about 3 hours including a final clean up. Please feel free to beat me up on my pricing. My thought process on this is that it is a corporate office and I wanted to get my foot in the door with the retail locations which i mentioned and they sort of made it seem if I did them a favor here they would possibly do me a favor. I question this as they may just be hustling me but I am willing to take the chance in hopes it pays off. Most of their retail have small store fronts and dumpster and I was thinking of doing a $299 store front dumpster pad monthly cleaning on all of them if all goes well.
