Need Help W/ Taginator

Tried Taginator for the first time today....
There were 2 Tags, 1 fresh and 1 where the customer tried over the counter remover and a power washer. I applied chem (with recommended sprayer) to both areas allowed 30 min dwell amd then started in on the fresh tag followed by the shadow from the previous attempt. Now here's the tricky part....
the surface is red brick not very porous, and when i washed (15 tip 3-4inches away) The paint was removed but the shadow remained.
Then i went back over the entire area uniformaly one row of bricks at a time, you see there appeared to be almost a powder coat on the brick, so it appeared i made the brick the same color as the shadow. Problem solved, customer happy (even though shadow from original customer attempt remained)
I got a call at the end of my day that both shadows remain. There is no paint mind you just an outline of where the tags were....kinda like i repainted them with clear oil.
I am thinking of (2) solutions:
1. Get up on the brick with more pressure (i don;t think that's the answer)
2. I should have applied chem in square pattern to cover entire perimeter

I dunno....any help ould be appreciated greatly

I use a lot of Taginator and have only had this happen twice on brick. Normally spray on get the water hot and rinse off, done deal. In and out.

Twice it left a shadow and the only thing I could think of was it was an oil base paint that seeped into the brick. Not an educated answer, but just my guess. I always tell the customer that it may happen. Normally they are just happy the bad stuff is gone and unless someone was looking for it they would never know.

Thanks Jeff,
That makes alot of sense, but shouldn't it dissolve the oils as well. There is another 5ooft section of wall with about 8-9 tags on it she wants me to do it, but i will be dissapointed if results are similar **sigh**

I use taginator for the most part. However. I keep a couple others on the trailer just because. Trying a sample of a different brand after the first one or two applications of taginator can sometimes field good results. And yes, some days I have left ghosting, scratching my head wishing I could have done better.

I spoke with the product rep today and he said that 95 times out of 100 you won't have any problems, and if your using heat, 99 times out of 100 you won't have any problems. Well, i guess i'll try this time with heat.
