Hey guys i'm new at quoting industrial equipment, especially when its a contract bi-weekly cleaning and could really use some help. The pics i have are of the vehicles in a state in which they haven't been cleaned for some time so the second cleaning won't be as bad. I live in Canada so the prices would be higher than those in the US. Maybe an estimation of hours to clean from your experience and I can formulate something from there...thanks!IMG_0543.jpgIMG_0536.jpgIMG_0544.jpgIMG_0539.jpgIMG_0540.jpg

Hi Mike,
Not looking for perfection since they are constantly being used. The undercarriage needs the first washing but subsequent wont be as bad as it is this first time i'm sure. I'm basically wondering how long these types normally take the average one of us to do by himself. I am thinking of offering an hourly rate for the first time to see just how long they do take. After that I can provide a quote based on some experience.

Thanks for your input.

Here is what I would estimate with the time.

Dump and pups, Rinse+soap depending on the mud could easily be 45 mins per unit up to 2 hours. I have done 100's if not 1000's of these and time can vary significantly. Prices out here typically go for about a $100 for the dump+pump with maybe a little scrubbing on the windows and chrome.

Cabover dump take about 30 mins at most I would guess.

The wheel loader looks neglected, although she is a big girl looking at the model number. Removing the grease properly the first time will take a little bit of time. Depending on how quickly the mud builds up and how clean they want it I would say atleast an hour.

The small tractor loader needs a good degreasing to start, after that 30 mins with some car wash soap should keep it in good looking condition.

Hope that gives you an idea

Good stuff Benjamin

My biggest concern with this stuff is making sure their is an understanding with the client regarding expectations..Some want a blast off some want it super clean..Super clean is more time hence more money..

Judging by the pics these dont look too bad maybe 30 mins each idk...I was approached about cleaning some garbage trucks and i passed- nasty dirty

Thanks Ben, coming from a canadian perspective that helps a lot too, i appreciate the time you took to look at each pic. I know they will be easier to clean after the first good wash as they havent been cleaned for some time according to the owner. I'll keep you informed if I get the job, and more importantly the contract.

Cheers,
Aaron
