My Time May Have Come........

Today while on a job I got a call from my 87 yr old dad and he told me he fell and could not walk. Rushed back home and loaded him into my car and got him to the ER. Found out he fractured his pelvis. Doctor may not take him to surgery because of his age. This means he will have to go to rehab probably for weeks and I am the only family member who lives on the same property that may have to take care of him and or the property. This means I will most likely downsize and sell 1 of my 10 gpm trailers and just do what I can to help out. This will put a crimp in my business but family comes first.....Guess we will see what happens in the next few days and make a decision in the near future.

Prayers sent Gene.

Thx everyone.....should find out more today.....He will not like having to rehab away from home 4-6 weeks for sure. May have to sell it all and bring him home....

Prayers or to.you and your family. Sorry to hear this

Prayers for you and your Family Gene......It's a tough situation that our Family has gone through also.........Family first...... don't do anything drastic until you can see the whole picture.

My Wife is an RN and has worked with the elderly and in Rehab all of her career, If you have any questions just call, we'll help anyway we can.

Yes, my thoughts and prayers out to ya as well, wishing a speedy recovery.

The lost work and sacrifices I made for my Grandmother will stay with me till I'm gone from this world. If your dad is an awesome person like my Grandmother was, I wouldn't think twice selling most everything I owned. At least for my situation, the motivation of seeing family that cared, vs centers that do not, helped her recovery immensely.

Again, thoughts and prayers to you, your dad, and family.

Hey man, keep the trailer and hire another dude. Upgrade a current employee to manager with a small raise and have him train the new guy. Then keep both trailers going. You will make a little less off the run, but everything keeps growing, you keep your trailer, you help the dad, and you now have started systemizing the business!

Great advise. Good luck Gene!

Or sub out the work on a temp basis.
