Hey guys just setup an Istant quote for my website. I would call this the Beta version lol. Still tweaking it. Just have it setup for Soft Wash right now. Working on it for all the other services.

Started setting this website up ten days ago. Still got a long way to go.

Tell me what you think.

Looks like it works good..maybe make the link on the main page pop a little more so it stands out..what software did you use to do the instant quote..is it gonna be difficult to add variables such as driveway and roof add on ..etc?

Will be adding a button on the Home page soon. As for driveways and roofs. Don't think the customer knows the square footage of their driveway or roof. Trying to figure out how to price them any ideas? Think of adding a drop down menu for separate garages. 1,2,and 3 car garages.

ok I scheduled! when can you make it to KY?

Hey if I get one of those I'll try to get in touch with someone on here that could take care of them. So it will work for everyone. lol

Updated!

If you need any advice, don't hesitate to shoot a question my way. I am a web developer/programmer by trade, definitely don't mind lending a hand.

Will do. All this stuff is new to me.

Look at responsibid.com they are doing the same thing on a big scale (geared towards window washers) but paying $79 something a month for the service isn't worth the price to me. I wouldn't mind having it if it was alot cheaper and geared more towards pressure washers.

That's why I went this route. I haven't come close to what can be done with this. Just started messing with it today.

Are you looking to make something similar to responsibid and sell it to people?

If people are interested in it defiantly. The price would not be as high as Responsibid. Let me know what it should have guys. Working on it 24/7.

It should be set up just like responsibid with customizable firlds but without the windows and without the monthly cost. Needs package upsells just like them with housewashing, gutter whitening, wax, roofs, and drives. The drives on mine would have to be quoted through a sales person because we dont have any standard "2 car width and depth" drives.

I think it is way over priced just for what we do and our small market. The people who would use it most would be our competition lol. If I were in a bigger market, the $79 a month would be justifiable. I would pay a one time fee, but no where near responsibids $700-900 fee annual cost. It's simple coding that I'm sure could be duplicated for our market and resold at a much more reasonable cost.

Another big factor with responsibid is that you will need to already set up your package deals. I think we will go with a silver, gold, and platinum house wash package (housewash then add gutter whitening then add wax) and also have a Gold and platinum roof cleaning package. I couldn't possibly have the customer measure concrete to quote it themselves as most of my drives cost as much or more than a housewash.

Just my 2 cents

I understand what your saying. Working on the package deals now. Some people don't use packages so each one would have to be setup differently.

Trying to figure out how to setup pricing for small buildings like sheds, garages, etc. I'm sure people don't know what size they are. Maybe you could put a base price per square foot at the bottom so they will get a idea of what it would cost. Concrete being the same way. A customers not going to go out with a measuring tape to measure his or her driveway.

My concrete prices vary also...no one flat pricing nor do I always get exact measurements on cleaning them. Also, here is an idea for the customer to get their exact square footage. Make a customizable tab that automatically sends them to their counties tax assessors page to get the total sq ft. I deal with 6 or more counties, so each site is different. All of my tax assessors give detail sq ft on even sheds and detached garages/shops.

I think that will make things to complicated. Maybe the shed/garage is new and not in the records etc. I have it setup to email me the info and in the special instructions box they can type the addons, etc. Then I'll call them to discuss the price or when we get there for the job tell talk to them about it then.

i like the idea, but it leaves too many things out of consideration. amount of cleaning necessary- light or heavy, access points to property, stories, angles of access to high points. Just too many things to leave out and even with a disclaimer, once you quote someone a price, its hard to change it when you get to the property.
Plus, think of this: you get a job based on the online qoute, you clean it and get two people on the block who ask you for quotes which you provide on the spot. They later look at your site and see the quick quote that is different based only on the square footage they put in. Again, too many thing left out in the quick quote formula.
