Here are the very first pictures of my "Clean & Recovery" rig - we took the pictures today during a Stormwater Surface cleaning seminar at the Gwinnett County Water Dept. in Atlanta, GA. I will have the machine at the NC RT and also at the STL RT.

I hope this works...
Thanks

There will always be low ballers ALWAYS-We can never get rid of them.

Yes I agree they will always be here - but in some places like Gwinnett County if a PM uses a contractor that is not compliant then they both get citations and Jail - let 1 be caught jailed and all informed PM's will not use non compliant contractors again - they have the names of compliant contractors on the www for all to see. To get onto the list the county needs to see a demonstration of how your machine works and if you are capable of being compliant. In Feb 250,000 information inserts will be included in every water bill and by April there will be enforcement of the law - we are the eyes and ears for the county. If anyone is non compliant and a low baller - how long do you think he will work in Gwinnett taking our money.....not long at all I guess.

So,if you see someone you suspect isn't compliant you'll turn them in?

What happens to the water after you pick it up?Does the machine clean it for re-use?
OR
Are you hauling to a waste facility?

Yes I would turn them in - I guess you are asking because you would not?
What if he low balled out of the account and he is pouring chem down the stormwater drain - I can't say I know anyone who wouldn't turn them in under these circumstanses.
LOL

Back to my rig - and thanks for the interest - It is self contained with a 250 Gallon fresh and 100 gallon dirty water on the trailer.
If I had to transport more than 100 gallons of dirty water to a facility then I could put an extra dirty water tank on my truck if necessary. But I have Solids/Liquid separation and Hydro-Carbon Absorption in the 100 gallon tank where I monitor discharge water Temp. & Ph., On the back door is a 20GPM water pump that pumps wash water to on site sewer drain, & grassy area's ( I carry up to 600' of lay flat hose for this)

I have been asked what are the GPM's and psi on the trailer and what would I have to keep on my truck? So if I may add these points.

We have 2 of 5GPM at 3000psi pumps.
I can carry on the Vac hose reel 300' of 2" hose - any more would have to be in the truck.
The 3 electric hose reels - I have 1/2 R2 on the 300' reel and 200' of supply hose and the rear hose reel has 600' of lay flat 1'' hose.
2 other reels that you can see next to the tool box - 1 is for 110v extension and the other is an airline for the compressor.
I do carry my 2 vac surface cleaners on the truck. I can run them both at the same time. Just need more hose.

Thanks for the interest.

Rob,
I see that you recognize that water can be pumped to grassy areas after have solids and oil are removed.
I can move water around a property all day with sump pumps, filters and oil booms to remediate in grassy areas. However, there are those in the industry that claim this is not the proper way and sell fear to contractors and property owners.Basically they will come in and tell a PM "ABC pressure washing" doesn't have a $20k reclaim set up so you will get a fine if they are caught working on your property. It's pure crap and I personally think selling fear is a piss poor way to build a business or boost sales of equipment.Again,I'm not saying you are doing this, but that breed of contrator and equipment dealer is out there.
There are also those out there that think hauling waste water is accpetable, but we all need to remember the property owns the water and it's contaminants,we need to leave it on the property whenever posssible.
Loading it up in a tank and hauling it can get you a fine as well, unless you have a hazardous waste hauling permit.
I'm not the kind to drop the dime on others.I would rather take the time to educate them on what is need to get compliant.

You machine is off the hook.Super rig for sure.

Ok, trying to find something constructive to say? two 5 gpm pumps, 150 gallon dirty tank? Have you been washing long?

hey rob did you design this unit yourself.. how long does it take to build one of these units.. do you sell them ?? if so how much.. i like the new green color.. looks fantastic..

New spec since Jan this year - 1 only 10 GPM pump. Full time since Jan this year - part time since 04 so 6 odd years.
Do you like the site? Do you do any environmental cleaning?
No Low ballers - quick jobs and lots of referrals.
Did you see my Youtube video?

Thanks for looking.
I had a guy in Georgia design it around specs that I gave him.
Delivery is about 6 weeks from order. Call me /PM me and I will gladly put you on to him.
$65K. Sounds like a lot of $$$ but when we started we had a big job that took 3 men with 5 gpm cold water -14 long days - that job now takes 2 men 3 days and it not because we have hot water - Clean & Recovery - look at the youtube video I have on my site to see how quick it is for us to clean now.

Nice website, that is the fastest I have seen someone move the vac steel eagle, you adjusted the height well for the vac.

Nigel
Glad you like the www - thanks very much.
We have modified the Steel eagle to help with that - custom double roller bearings on each wheel and because of the 500 cfm vacuum we are moving enough air to pick up any and all water.
Couple of other modifications - a wand build on the the handle and we use a spinner with 4 spray arms not the std 2
Swivels built into the hi pressure hoses so you are not fighting them

Nice looking rig. Did you know that you can use that for hydro-excavation? Cities call it potholing. You can remove dirt rapidly from around valve boxes etc without damaging the boxes or any conduit. Hydro-Excavation macines are built with the same kind of tank. Hydro-excavation could boost your yearly sales by thousands. I noticed in another post that someone agreed that you could pump it to ground. That is fine if you are separating the solids and have a carbon clean up. Like you have. It is also fine do do as he suggested in some areas. However there are many areas around the country that have passed local ordinances against diverting unfiltered water into grassy areas. Usually areas with low water tables have zero tolerance of such infractions. So while I am sure that some of you can pump to ground without any treatment it would be a good idea to check out your local POTW to make sure you don't get caught holding the bag.
