My mistake, Sorry

Ron,

I made a suggestion a while back via PM to one of the moderators, but never received a reply on it. My advice would be to hide the IP addresses to all except moderators. It's a security thing. There's a lot unfortunately that can be done (maliciously) knowing someone's home IP address, regardless if you think you're safe behind a router or not. Just a suggestion.

I agree!!! This is why on TGS only mods and admins can see IP's. It IS a security thing.

One of my other hobbies is super exotic stereo stuff.
Once, I was on a forum, and got asked my opinion of a subwoofer.
This subwoofer costs almost 7 grand.
I said it was ok, but not worth the money.
Next thing I knew, I was in the "fight of my life"
I SEEMED like I was fighting the whole forum, LOL
Then, someone pointed out ALL the fuss was coming from one IP
Yep, the manufacturer has several "identities" he could summon at will to make it LOOK like the fight was going against you!
There IS board software to stop this :)

I will see what Russ wants to do, I have no issue with just staff viewing Ips.
