My largest bid ever was turned in today

here a couple of photos of the job. I did not post all due to the fact the deal is not complete. I did a quick demonstration and was praised for a professional image in my bid. If you submit a professional bid, that could make the difference in getting this type of job or not. He said he got bids on carbon copy paper and even notebook paper. Be aware of your competition and ensure you are 1000 times more professional because appearance does matter.

Look at the pictures, the concrete is black everywhere.

... I think a professional bid package or bid sheet is helpful - has certainly been of benefit to me. If your competition is submitting crappy looking bids, you are definitely in a different league from them in terms of first impressions. However, through experience, I would say that sometimes it depends on the customer... sometimes they are looking for references, knowledge, experience and PRICE!!! (or a combination of all).

That said, you are right in saying appearance does matter... after all, appearance is part of the services we are trying to sell - practice what we preach and all that!! :)

PS - looks like a nice job!!

At least the mold should come up fairly easy.

I agree, I also built a little 12% into the bid to make things move along a little faster. It does not look like we will be getting the gum removal in the cleaning if we get it. They were not worried about the gum so much and would probably pass on that.

Mold is always fun, easy to clean and a HUGE difference! Your gonna own that job!

You can do it especially if you had one of these swabby 45in machine. We did a Mall complex with over 330,000sq' at 8cents per which came out to $25,000 for 5 days of work. The Swabby made the world of difference because we didn't have to reclaim and from what I hear if I would have reclaimed it would have went faster. We also used a 11gpm and an 8gpm surface machines that were use also for rinsing. Just do it and go all out. Yes there were some days we put in the 15hr day but it did get done in 5 days which was a day before there Grand opening.

John, just curious how many gpm's you need to run that swabby?

Do you ever run into supply issues like needing to run 2 or 3 supply hoses to the tank?

That is a nice machine.

The swabby runs on 8gpm. There is a water tank on the trailer plus I have extra water tanks and because of this I haven't had any water feed issues. My 11gpm Powerwasher is another story. Most times with that machine I'm OK but there has been times when we needed more water to feed it.

John,
Last pic looks like your pants are wet. Did you need to get off your seat? LOL

I think that happened when I got off the Swabby and my legs fell asleep causing me to fall on the Ground. Its like being on the crapper to long:D
