My daughter was born ....

... at 4:34am EST this morning. We got to the hospital at 4:10am .... too late for any medicine, which means, no epidural ... my poor wife :p

Anyways, Abbigail Inara Heinl is doing very good! I will post pictures later on! The internet in the room shes in is pretty bad, hopefully once she gets in a normal room itll be better!

7 pounds, 7 ounces, 18 1/2 inches.

Congratulations Pat, remember, no matter how soiled the baby gets, it is not acceptable to pressure wash 'lil Abbigail.

You bringing cigars to Vegas for all of us ????

Enjoy this very special time in your life.

Congrats pat

Gongratulation to you and your wife.

No eppy, what a gal. Childbirth gives a newfound respect for the special ladies in our lives. Us guys have the easy end of it, but we're just as proud and happy to look into that sweet child's eyes as mom is. Way to go, both of you!

Thank you everybody for the kind words!

Ahhh how wonderful babies are. So far I slept a total of 50 minutes in a 30 hour period .... I feel like falling over and falling asleep, lol.

The night was crazy, she slept for like 30-45 mins at a time, then woke up, and just cried until I picked her up, then she fell right back asleep .... for another 30-45 minutes.....spoiled girl already! :O

So we got to go home today (that was quick, surprised me, I thought we'd have to stay til friday) but hey, not like I am complaining, because the "bed" (definition of bed: big chair that folds out with springs pokin you all over the place) was horrible.

So we're home now, everything is great, Amber (my 2 year old step-daughter) is being a good big sister checkin on her new baby sister every oh I'd say about every 2 minutes, lol.

Thanks for all the congratulations guys!!!

Have fun with the diapers . I got away with not changing any diapers on my first child, wife smartened up on the 2nd. REAL HAPPY for you Pat/Dad

Thanks Jeff. Oh I had the "pleasure" of changing her very first poopy diaper .... not trying to get graphic, but man their gross.

I dirtied 3 sheets, and used about 20-25 wipes .... lol. Talk about a mess! Byt the time that was over with, I almost was sweatin harder than after a house wash in the summer.

LOL......

So the first night at home was pretty good I'd say!

Me and the wife decided Ill sleep until 3am, and then she'll sleep from 3am - 8 am. Worked out good, but we might just both sleep tonight and wake up to Abbi crying ... because she was good tonight.

While my wife was up with her last night, Abbi:

Pooped and peed 3 times
Was up 2 1/2 out of 5 hours.
Cried for about 45 minutes

While I had her this morning until now, Abbi:

Peed once
Didn't poop
Didn't cry
Slept the whole time.

She was fed at 1:15am, so I tried to feed her again at like 5:15am, she slept, so I gently tried to wake her up a bit only to get an annoyed sound out of her which I took as "leave me the heck alone daddy" and went back to sleep.

I'd say she's doing a LOT better sleeping here than she did in the hospital.

Now im about to go drive the other lil one to school, and then off to do 2 estimates. I need to do at least 2 jobs before the wife lets me go to the ATL RT, lol.

Already asked the wife if I can X-Jet the baby from top to bottom ... she wont let me

Too funny. What was bad about when I had my son Cody is that he was Jody's third kid. He was much better at it all than I was!
