Man I hate getting used stuff sometimes. I got a used Hot and Might Pw, getting it running no problem, drain the gas put in new, and new batt and started like the second turn. Now the problem IT WILL NOT STOP. I have to choke it off. I turn the key off and nothing happens. Any help?

Tie 4 m-80's together. Lite fuse. Run like hell. :happydance: That will shut it off!!! Hahaha! Just Kidding. I agree,, just sounds like a bad switch.

Some engines have a cutoff solenoid in the carburetor if so there would be a wire running from the carb to the switch, that might lead you somewhere - maybe its wired hot or something.

Most small engines run off a magneto. So the ignition switches work backwords from a automotive switch. When you turn it off it actually grounds the coil. When you turn it on it just ungrounds the coil. Look for a ground wire off near the switch.

or on the side of the engine on a lug
