Mold Removal

Hello Everybody,

I know this is in the wrong forum, but here goes.

I am being employed by a property manager that I do presure washing for to remove the mold from a large vacant department store. I plan to use outdoor clorox bleach and water. I will apply it to the walls with an extention wand and a brush. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with mold removal and ,if so, how do you do it.

Thanks for any feedback.
Sincerely,
Scott

There's not much detail in your post, but I'l take a stab with the first things that come to mind...and I'm guessing that this is an interior job...

Interior mold abatement can be a tricky business... Dangerous too.. There is tons of $$ to be made in this field, but the insurance is off the scale and the equipment, scope of work and liability go accordingly.
Do you have to warrantee too a certain amount of removal? and Do you have to guarantee no re-appearance?
What about containment ? Are you required to use air scrubbers, HEPA filters, & vacuums? Or is this a straight splash & spray kind of gig?

BTW? is he fixing whatever caused the mold in the first place?

Initial thoughts......

Cujo

Thank you for your replies. The mold is to be removed so that the open house for potential buyers can look at the property.
This is down and dirty cleaning. I have no idea what to charge.I will make it worth my while. I am realising that I need to be cautious!

Add a cup of soap to your mix - the soap will act as a surfactant, which allows the bleach to stay on the wall longer to kill the mold.
