Membership fee

You missed my point. When I say gain on my money, what is ment is a combination of things ranging from a medical program to new ideas. I must feel the worth of the program, not just a drain on my account. I would rather have one good medical program than every program they have today. One hundred weak programs is like having nothing.

My problem would be fine if all I had to deal with is local and state regs. For the national government to use PWNA ideas to regulate our trade-would be a reason to stay so that they would not try, Two year back PWNA gave the SF Bay Area Water program all of the PWNA members names and addresses so they contacted us to be educated on the run off rules. I went to the class and it was a typical state program based on fees and under EACH local community codes plus they made up more rules. PWNA just gave them our names-now is my life better.

David I agree there, giving our names out without first asking and letting us know what it is about is not right, not just the PWNA but any and all groups that have our name and other information.

I agree on the benefits part, howerver and I do think Bryan understood what I was saying, it is not a one way street, not give me my monies worth but to better the whole industry.

I did not join just for the what do I get out of it part, if so then I would have to say not much, I did learn, I did benefit from the show in Las Vegas.

I will go to the next one even as a non member since it is close to me and I am sure I will gain some more, hopefully newer information too.

Bryan, as for the shur flo pump prices, that was an example and if all sold it for the same price I would screm PRICE FIX. The more you buy the less it should cost the wholesaler, in return he can charge less, makes it up in volume and I am all for that as long as us as the end user get that discount price also.

David again, yes a good medical program is a must have, even though I have my own and would not give it up, I belong to Kaiser Permanente as does the wife.

I still believe Chris and company is trying, sure things happen slower then we want, just like any government organization.

How it works in my mind.

someone gets an idea.
Talks to others, they either say forget it or tell us more.
They hear more and want to look into it, goes on books for things to do.
Sometime in the future someone looks into it, how deeply I anyones guess, it either ends there as to costly or moves forward as lets explore this idea more.

Months (years?) later the idea is voted on, YES OR NO, if NO end of idea, if YES more research done, board of directors does more talks, one takes it and looks deeply into it, brings all papers on it to table and they check it over and talk it over, now the real vote comes into play, do we feel this idea would benefit all the members and can the organization AFFORD IT?

I would venture to say 99% of all ideas never get that far, most go into the trash can very fast.

PWNA board have their own businesses to run as well as other things, family, BBS in some cases, church, anger management classes ( to deal with guys like me!).

The one thing I do disagree with and would like to see changed is all the PWNA board meet by phone, never in person. I feel at least every six month they should have a weekend of meetings someplace central for all board members. I feel more can be done in less time without any interruptions.

Perhaps the organization can pick up half the tab, get major discount on tickets and rooms. Pick up meals with a certain $ amount so some don't eat lobster while another eats tuna.

Now one thing not part of the above, I would love to see Chris and the other board members post more on this board, help members here with questions and answers and I don't mean in the PWNA forum but in all the other forums. Mike alone does that and will always offer advice, can anyone explain why none of the other board members does that other then say they don't have the time?

Jon,

The board meets twice per year in person.........board meeting is held the day before the technical seminar in fall, and before the annual meeting in winter.

Gee Mike, you took all the steam out of that one:) however thanks for the information as I was always under the impression they did all business by conference calls.

Learned today.

point's well taken guys.
There is no end to this argument, let me just say that it would seem easier to work from within , maybe you have done that I don't know, or maybe you just don't have the time to commit to it, I know right now I wouldn't.
It's been fun but I think I'll let this one rest for a while, anybody have any pressure washer questions?

Dues

Heres an Idea:

$100 Trial member (limited Benifits)

$200 Associate Member (just alittle more)

$350 Member (all benifits and free meetings)
