I drove thru the local McDonalds at 7:00 a.m. and their hourly worker was scrubbing the drive thru concrete with muratic acid and a brush and rinsing into the storm drain. Can these people really be this cheap? :speechless:

it doesnt surprise me. Several Mcdonalds out here try to clean the stores themselves.

yes they can be. my local store wants me to all drive thru, first row parking, and store front for $100.00 :nono::nono:

That is what they do here, they don't want to spend money to have it done right.

The Corp requires each individual store to clean. That guy you see out there scrubbing with a brush and rinsing with a hose is just doing what he is told. Some franchisee even go to a box store and buy there own PWer to do it with.
From personal experience most corp. owned store willl not hire a contractor to clean unless they have a corp. inspection coming up.I am a vendor with and never get calls from corp. stores.
I clean for a franchisee often with some of his stores on 30day and others on 60day cleanings.

They are just too cheap to use someone who knows what they are doing. I have seen them also use cheap garden hose that gets busted whenever someone drives across it. A local McD's here cleans about once a week with a 2500 PSI 2.5 GPM washer. The guys is out there for hours. I had mentioned to a manager before that he could cut the time and make it look better by either getting a real pressure washer or by hiring a professional. He acted sorta interested but I am sure that was just to make me happy.

They shouldn't have a problem paying for good service....I believe I seen where McDonalds were having record sales from the bad econmy. People were eating there instead of higher costing chains.....

It is like either you can sell anything to anyone and get results or it does not get done properly until someone gets hurt by slipping then sues them. It is sad but a lot of businesses don't think proactively. Attorney's love them though. Learning how to sell from someone that sells pressure washing services is a great thing to learn. Hint hint hint hint hint.

The vast majority have seen increases.

The math for most families is simple.
$90 for a family of 5 at a steakhouse vs. $30 for the same family of 5 at McD.
The bloat from fastfood.....................
Priceless

LOL...Yes....demo the area for the GM after the kids done.

Show them you can save them money. Labor , chems, safety and reduce the liability both epa and public.

Mcdonalds is killing starbucks with their McCafe coffees ( BTW the set up for each store costs $27,000)
They are also hurting the gormet burger stores with thier new Angus burgers as well, it is pretty good and at $3.99 is about 1/2 what alot of the upscale burger joints are charging..
Judging by thier grease buoldup they have seen no slowdown in the last year that I can see.

There are at a 14 year high in sales. All related to the economy I bet on that. People are not eating at upscale places in the last 8 months.

I'm still trying to get the 14 here locally that are franchised owned .... The Owner gets a bright colored envelope every wednesday lol ... it's only a matter of time .. Like I tell my guys.. "There are two types of properties there are the properties that we take care of and then there are the properties that we don't take care of yet" LOL

Exactly how that should be put. Franchisees will pay for this service but it may take a while to get into their pocket books. I have one group of wendy's that is still on the fence claiming they do it theirselves...etc, I am sure after a round of golf and lunch on me I can win him over

I know first hand of what happens when they do not clean properly. A friend of mine slipped in the store of a huge gas station chain. They performed an investigation that led to a conclusion of "THEY DO NOT CLEAN THEIR CONCRETE WHERE THE PETROLEUM COLLECTS" now the dude is getting over 300K and heres the kicker...He washes cars in his own little business and will get all the equip he needs to go commercial fleet lol. Now thats justice!!! I am going to use a copy of his case and the reward check when I get set up to go after the gas stations and fast food places.

I finally hit the century mark on posts y'all!!! I have no idea why I have Rons post quoted?
