Maybe, sucked a valve?

Just tried starting 'er up after replacing my new pump rails and belts.

It began to start, and suddenly shot about a 6 inch flame out of the muffler!

It now turns over freely without a lick of compression...

Now that APW is no longer working, i might just go hang-out at The Talking Stick for the rest of the week-end?

For those of you that actually have money, what would you do???

Is the spark plug in? APD Power center is the best place in the valley to buy new engines. I have not seen anyone beat their prices on small engines. Their phone number is 480-838-7472

It might just be in the head or camshaft. Take the plug out, get a thin screwdriver and find the piston. Pull the rope slowly and see if it moves. Honda's are really pretty easy to work on, and I have plenty of parts on hand from dismantled generators. All Chinese, all brand new. (did some teardowns on new equipment for R&D.)

Just replace its done its duty didnt your hour meter read 1700 something thats good.Just replace with new and rebuild the other and make you a cold water unit later down the road.

We dont do cold water in Arizona. There really is not a lot of house washing that happens, either.

According to the casting numbers, it's a Yaohu YH188F(Harbor Freight)?, so it can't the original engine.

The piston seems to be moving okay, so i'm pretty much ruling out a thrown Rod. Pretty sure i have a 2pc valve, because it was popping everytime i shut the machine down. It's been doing that for well over a week now.

I'll give APD Power Center a call in the am, and see what they have to say.

In the mean time i've been throwing around the idea of a quick fix...

Otherwise, a fresh Honda or Vanny 16-18HP will run us about a grand or so... plus i will be needing fuel tanks and stuff, as well.

I realize that ya get what ya pay for, but my Soft Wash System that i used lastnight is exactly that!

It took awhile, and luckily the job was just "maintenance"...
What do ya do?

That said, we've got to get up and running ASAP!!!

Don't tell Tony, but that might be a viable option, at least temporarily.
