Massachusetts Hood Cleaners Unite.

The state adopted the NFPA 96 2008 Fire Codes after a tragedy. Now they have begun to interpret the codes. To my thinking shall means will do. There is no grandfathering unless signed off by a Fire Inspector. Hood Cleaners are responsible for cleaning and accessibility for cleaning. Nothing to do with structure, materials etc. We are not trained, licensed, insured or experienced in those areas. Aluminum filters do not meet the code. Why do the building codes supersede the fire codes? They do not match. We as licensed hood cleaners should be a tool that could be very beneficial to the Fire Inspectors if used. Not treated as thugs. Anyone got anything else?
