Making site avaliable to search on Google

Another one for you guys.

Making my site show up on google search. I've been going over Mike's notes in the class he taught at the roundtable about this, but it's still a little iffy. Html tagging, keywords, and sitemaps. Is there any steps I'm missing other than getting it ranked? Crawling was another word he used, not sure what it means. Thanks gents

Sometimes it takes weeks or months to get ranked up there, not too many times you will start dominating the search engines quickly unless it is blackhat but then with blackhat you can get the permanent ban from google for messing with them.

Take time, apply what you have learned and do some reading here also, there is good info on this topic here on the bbs. Feel free to use that search button as much as you want to.

Just a thought....

I put my site together myself last spring and fought for the last year trying to get it ranked with little luck. Had kbk do my new site and it still didnt do better. :banghead:

Then I paid a guy locally 125 to tweak some things and less than a month later Im on the first page if not first for any search I can think of.
