Liquid good....Powder Bad....
Picking a soap solution is directly related to where you live and the type of siding to be cleaned. If your just removing mildew you just need some surfactorant for suspending the bleach to kill the mold. Many of the powders being sold are pretty close in ingrediences for house washes. It's when you get to chalking and more difficult cleanings you need to now what to add for a boost to get the job done.
For my first 10 years I used a car wash soap that was great called (true). Came in a liquid form and I could pick it up locally but the place shut down. Using just a surfactorant where I live doesn't work so well so you need to carry other chem's to add to house wash to get a boost.
I don't have to worry about windows as much as I do with Roof Snot.
What issues are you having with the Snot on glass?
I did a quote yesterday for a lady. She had rust draining out of one of the columns in the front. This is a fairly new stucco house, but the stucco was cracking and paint on the ceiling (of the porch) was peeling away. It appeared to me to be shoddy build job.
If that stucco is cracking, exposing the unknown source of the rust, wouldn't cleaning it just add to the problem?
Our Rust Stain Remover works well on stucco.
Really? I never would have thought of that. So you're talking about using rust remover to spot clean mold spots on stucco? You're not talking about down streaming it over the whole house, are you? I don't know how much your rust remover costs, but if it's anything like F9 BARC, I don't think there's a customer in all of Florida that would pay me what I would have to charge to downstream a whole house with that stuff. Lol

No, I am talking about spot cleaning for the rust stain. Give me a call tomorrow and I think you will find the price is reasonable. Quite a bit less than the cost of the F9. I found on most stucco the Citracleen mixed in my housewash formula works well. If you need something stronger just swap out the Citracleen for the Gutter Shock. I have several things in that formula for specific reasons. I like the X-Jet, I never felt that I could get the proper concentration of chemicals with a downstream injector like I could get with the X-Jet and premixing them. The key to cleaning is having the proper amount of chemicals on the surface and the pressure with the X-jet gives enough pressure to do the job.
I have my first aluminum siding job next week on an older farm house that has never been painted. The siding is dirty and has some mold on it. Can someone please give me some info on a good downstream mix or a softwash mix? I have a 6 gpm hot cold pressure washer and also a 60 psi softwash setup.
Thanks, Darrell
I have just ordered my first gallon of simple cherry. I will be cleaning a Zaxbys' with stucco on the side and black streaks coming down from the roof. I'll be mixing in a 5 gallon bucket. What ration of Simple Cherry/Sh/Water would you guys recommend? Usually I do just concrete, but I've started trying to get into soft washing and I'm still unsure of the chemicals and ratios to use. Thanks for you info!!!
Call me....to much to type. And Sorry, I missed this one.
