Hi there

I'm doing some research on bulk mailing and I decided on do small batches and just buy the stamps a $0.27 for postcards and let the post office do the walk for me . It'll help me to track results more accurately and is easy on my pocket at the same time.

My question here is how do you get a hold of mailing lists ? I know you can buy them ... where? from who?

I also remember reading something around here mentioning how to get the information from online source like Property Tax website or something like that.

HERE is the website were my "target market" is, or at least where I'm planning on getting started.

Any help will be appreciated;

My Window Cleaning Services, but I want to include some information about gutter cleaning too, so I can start preparing the field for the winter.

How's everything going now Scott? No news on the trailer? Is your wife feeling better?

EDIT: Area of operation is basically Katy, Richmond, but Katy specially. (77494,77449,77450)
 
I use directmail.com. They let you break down the demographics for your target audience. They email you the file, or print them on labels and mail them to you or will mail them for you themslves.
I chose that they mail me the pre printed labels. Then I can be sure that the proper amount went out.
 
I use a professional mailing house in town. They generated a target market list and do the stamping and addressing for me. I bet you could contact the one in your area and just get a list instead of the whole deal.

I once spent HOURS looking up property tax addresses and it worked, but I also got a lot of returns and wrong address stuff. Much better in my opinion to let someone else get it for you, so you can go out and sell your business!

Window Cleaning - Make sure the card is very professional. This will distinguish you from all the fly by night operations which are so prevalent in the window cleaning industry.
 
Sorry I should have told you that was for 1000 postcards but they have everything that you could possibly want. Hope it helps

I target home owners of income over 35k. Then I pick the areas on the map that I know are good home areas. I know the 35k may seem low but the demographic report will not pick up on non-married dual income households. It also will not pick up on underground economy business owners.
 
Did you hear about the .142 rate at Post office?

As marketing methods that utilize mailing lists are highly trackable, you will easily be able to see just how successful these campaigns are and you might be surprised by the results.
