magnets

Never tried it, but my impression of it is that it would not work very well as a marketing tool. Track your results and I bet you get very little from that ad. Too many other things on it.

Where are these being distibuted?

throughout the county at all banks, grocery stores, restraunts, convience stores, county and city offices, etc. If i just get one house wash from it its paid for anything else will be gravy. thats the only good thing about going in with different businesses on these things. Makes cost low for everyone.

With other business - I have had great luck with some and not so good with others. The Key is the distribution. Who will see it and do you offer a service for them?

Base on your above comments - If you do commercial work - Sounds Good.

There is really no way to target your market with this form of advertising. This could be what I call a SEED. If you have a name or logo that sticks in the customers mind. When they go to those yellow pages - You company will be familar. Thats what you want. You have planted a seed of security. When they call - you will water that seed with your professionalism and knowledge of the industry.

Just remember - always put your name, logo, slogan on everything you do - whether its advertisement, contract, estimate, yard sign, or anything. The key is for your company and what it represents to become familar.

You may want to check into mail-outs. Its not so much of how many people you reach, but who you reach. Example -- Why reach a person to clean there home if they rent. Target your market - Do a mail-out to home owners with certain income brackets.

Network with Vinyl Siding Contractors - Thats an awesome list to have.

Sorry to carry on - just a passion of mine.

I like to think of a magnet not so much as primary advertising, but secondary advertising, aimed at people who have called once already. Magnets help to keep your business in the forefront of people's minds and to jog thier memory. I mean, let's face it. We know where we shop for groceries. We know who we call to have pizza delivered. But we don't call a pressure washer every day, but we DO want them to repeat as often as we can get them to do it. The magnet, sitting on the fridge or file cabinet, is a way to help them to remember who they should call, when they are ready...
